The Stahl family started the company in 1974 with a small barn, three pultrusion machines and about a dozen employees, primarily manufacturing products for the agricultural market. Throughout our history, we’ve continued steady growth and expanded our line of high-performance structural fiberglass products to serve a wide range of applications and markets. When you use our fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) materials, you’ll meet the immediate needs of your project. You’ll also get great value over the long term, because — unlike wood and metal — our materials hold up under even the harshest conditions.
Today, Bedford is still privately owned and operated by the Stahl family in the same Central Pennsylvania countryside where it began. We now have more than 250 full-time employees and 200,000-plus square feet of fiberglass pultrusion manufacturing space, including a state-of-the-art fabrication center. We’re constantly seeking ways to gain efficiencies that save you time and money. Our product development includes the latest in robotics, 3D printing and kitted shipments with laser engraving for easier jobsite installation. We also have a nationwide distribution network for timely delivery.
